I am honored to announce the official marriage of R.I.F.T. Reentry Initiatives For Today and All Of Us Or None.  Both of these wonderful organizations have teamed up becoming a pair of powerful forces in the advocacy and aid of the formerly incarcerated.

OUR MISSION

To create career opportunities for the recently incarcerated once released is a task that we will never cease to undertake. With efforts from organizations and individuals throughout the United States we will integrate those that wish to contribute to society back into it.

R.I.F.T. Reentry Initiatives For Today, a collaborative research and development strategy specifically aimed at the empowerment of the formerly incarcerated person. R.I.F.T. is a committed endeavor of assisting both men and women with the drive to become successfully reintegrated into their communities and furthermore a [real] opportunity to pursue the endeavor of becoming successful entrepreneurs.

All Of Us Or None

Who We Are

All of Us Or None is a national organizing initiative of prisoners, former prisoners and felons, to combat the many forms of discrimination that we face as the result of felony convictions. After serving time in torturous conditions, we were met at the gate with prejudice and discrimination that made our re-entry into society difficult and in some cases impossible. Many of us recognize that our prison sentence never ends as long as the discrimination against us continues.

Mission/Vision

Researchers built a wind tunnel for flies with scenes projected on the interior walls. The fly's motion is tracked with a 3D camera and the images change in response. By changing the patterns on the tunnel's walls, the scientists can control the untethered fly's movements. According to an article and video at New Scientist, understanding the complexities of insect flight could inform the development of new microrobotic aircraft. From New Scientist:

"That is very unnatural and it becomes very difficult to interpret the data because of the strong interference by the experimenter," explains (lead researcher Steven Fry from the Institute of Neuroinformatics, Zurich, Switzerland)...

"This program defines how the world reacts to the fly's behavior," says Fry. "You gain access to information you just wouldn't get without the tools, because you can control a fly that is immersed in a virtual environment."
